Question:

Why is the Collector in some cases unable to report the right information regarding the Metro Apps?

Answer:

Due to a technical limitation with the way Windows Apps are developed, the Collector might be impacted by the following scenarios:

  • Metro Apps in an AppContainer environment (WWAHost process) installed and executed without reboot will be displayed as WWAHost.exe.

  • Since Metro Apps can be a mixture of different files, the Collector will not display the binary executed but the full package name executed.
