What is the best way to stop, start or restart the Engine?

The Engine needs to be restarted. What is the best practice to stop, start or restart an Engine?

Answer:

It is best practice to restart the Engine using the Nexthink Console. In order to do that, follow this procedure:

Open a browser and type the URL pointing to the Appliance hosting the Engine you want to restart.

(replace the FQDN with the fully qualified domain name of your Appliance)

Enter the credentials (by default admin/admin)

Open the Engine tab.

Click on the "Stop" button. 

Wait for the status to change.

Click on the "Start" button.

Wait for the status to change.
