Virtualization: Troubleshooting: Configuration

Individual Library Pack configuration

Mandatory Configuration

  1. Enable “Device performance” by following this link.

  2. Dex v2 installed

    1. Dex v2 “Virtual Type” Category should be modified to tag Personal VDI and Multisession SBC devices.

Optional Configuration

Campaign configuration

If required, modify the campaigns to match your internal communication rules.

Right-click on Campaigns and click on “Publish”

Campaigns to publish:

  • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - Service degradation

  • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - Service restore

  • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - Logoff

Remote Actions configuration

Open remote actions and select :

  • “Allow Manual Triggering of the remote action on these devices”

  • “The remote action can be triggered on multiple devices at the same time”

 

Remote actions to modify:

  • Install application

  • Uninstall application

  • Set Service Information

  • Restart Device

Alerts configuration

Create Alerts from investigations provided in this pack

  1. Right-click on the investigation and select “Save as alert…” or “Save as global alert…”

     

    1. Configure the alert to match your priority levels and to target your alerting system.

       

Investigation and OneClick Investigation configurations

By default, when you install the Virtualization Troubleshooting pack, Investigations and OneClick Investigations are only available to the user who installed the pack.

OneClick investigations should be installed by importing the XML file:

Device one-clicks.xml

On the Finder, go to Settings → One-clicks → Devices → Right-click on Section:

To make them available and accessible to other users, follow the instructions in this link.

To clean the Library Pack:

 

Before cleaning, you can backup your "Virtualization Troubleshooting" Library Pack version. To backup, follow the instructions in this link.

  1. In the portal, delete the role created to publish Investigations and OneClick Investigations

  2. In the Finder, in each section described below, right-click on "Library\Virtualization Troubleshooting" and delete:

    • OneClick Investigations:

      • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - Impacted Users

      • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - CPU Applications

      • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - High Memory Applications Warning

      • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - Top Memory Applications Usage

    • Investigations:

      • Virtualization - CPU Queue Length

      • Virtualization - CPU Usage

      • Virtualization - Memory Usage

    • Campaigns:

      • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - Service degradation

      • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - Service restore

      • Virtualization - Troubleshooting - Logoff

    • Score:

      • Virtualization - Troubleshooting

    • Remote actions:

      • Install application

      • Uninstall application

      • Set Service Information

      • Restart Device
