MS ConfigMgr - Client Health - Summary
Overview and Use Case
The MS ConfigMgr – Client Health pack allows you to track, detect and remediate devices within your landscape that have issues with the health of the installed Configuration Manager client. A lack of visibility into device compliance can quickly escalate into devices not receiving vital operational functions such as security updates for both the OS and installed software which puts the wider organization at risk.
This pack is vital for EUC leads who wish to keep an eye on the overall health of the Configuration Manager estate. L1/2 Support teams can access specific dashboards to quickly drill down and understand the health status of non-compliant devices and see where client installations are required. They can quickly and easily perform deeper investigations into devices that are either not responding to their management point or unable to receive deployment-related content.

Pack Structure
The pack comprises four Remote Actions, three investigations, and some metrics that relate to the dashboards.
There are two types of remote action; data gathering and remediation. All the remote actions can be scheduled to run at a time decided by the IT department. The data gathering remote actions will supply the current status of the devices as targeted by the investigations, while the remediation remote actions will attempt to repair any issues discovered, such as stopped services or even an agent repair.
Remote Actions
The MS ConfigMgr – Client Health library pack is underpinned by four Remote Actions, which are reported on within four intuitive dashboards.
Two of the remote actions, Get MEMCM Agent Health and Get SCCM Client Status, are used for interrogating the clients within the estate to find out their current status and health.
The two remaining remote actions, Restore SCCM Client and Invoke SCCM Client Auto-repair, are used for carrying out remediation tasks.
You can find more details of how these remote actions work and how they can be configured on the configuration page.
